#1 Post by kmeleon »

Hi, as per wiki, heic should be supported, but I cannot find option to tick em. I was able to rescue jpegs, but I'd love to get the new heices too. I'm on linux though, if that makes any difference.

The extension "heic" is part of the "mov" family. You can verify that by placing a heic-file on a USB stick, deleting it and let Photorec search without having "mov" checked once, check "mov" and let Photorec search again.

Hello and thank you very much for reply and valuable info. I'll tick the mov then. Actually I have a dead external hdd, which I have already ddrescued onto another disk, so now I can verify it on real data :)
