Error when "List and copy files"

I really messed up my external ssd.
Disk management says raw.
When trying to "List and copy files", nothing recovered, only error.

Any chance that I can recover any files?

Try to duplicate your possibly broken drive as described in the manual.

Before doing so it is always revealing what your drive SMART parameters tell you:

Could you update your smartmontools-database and repost the file again?
Hopefully that will label the unknown attributes!

Hi

I found a script: update-smart-drivedb.ps1
This is what I get after running the script and then create report:

Device is: Not in smartctl database 7.3/5301

I will try to find time today to do the image

Hi
I couldn't find anything in the manual about how to create an image.
But I found it in the application.
Its been working 8h now and has reached 0.7%. This is of course taking too long.

Should we work on the original disk instead?
What is the next step?

Hi

Image creation failed.
Image file is 50 MB.

The log is 8 MB full of this:
file_win32_pread(536,1,buffer,4776192(297/77/37)) read err: read after end of file

Please suggest next step

May I kindly ask you to really read the manual?
Seriously reading the table of contents should set you on the right track.
It is kind of sad being faced with this type of problems.

The function in Testdisk is not suitable for your purpose and has stressed your drive for an additional 8 hours with virtually no outcome.
Should we work on the original disk instead?
What is the next step?
You should read the manual instead and it is not required to read it entirely.

Hi
Yes you mean ddrescue

I started it and just let it be.
Checking it now. It is stuck:
Current rate: 0 B/s
Non-tried: 1000 GB
Bad sector: 512 B
Time since last successful reads: 3d etc

The manual says "If the main boot sector is damaged, the filesystem is listed as raw or unreadable"
So next step is "7.4 Repairing FAT32, exFAT and NTFS boot sector using TestDisk",
Is this correct?

Br

No, this is not the next step.

Did you run ddrescue with admin rights?
ddrescue tries to jump over defective areas. If it didn't recover a single sector you should contact a professional recovery service.
Unfortunately you did not post a screenshot of the overview screen of ddrescue.
