Partitiontable structure and display !

#1 Post by profsurgical »

By Testdisk I get other results than by e.g. Acronis Disk Director !
If I change the size of some partitions by DD or recover by True Image I was shown that between the main partitions there are small partitions created
of some MB.
But they are not shown by TD nor by DD after.
So what is that ??
E.g. partition table before recover is ok as TD says but after TS sees faults.
Overlapping, conflicts and so on !
But DD says all ok, and other software too !
So what is with TD ??
Not exact ?? Virtual or true problems ??
Nobody knows !
Why are there created small empty partitions between and not shown after ?? Even not by TD ?
Recover with True image says e.g. 1 MB before and 4 MB after. For what ??
Does anybody now ??
Perhaps Mr Grenier himself ??
Thanks !

As I told you years ago you should post your complaints with Acronis products with the Acronis company:

https://forum.acronis.com

Hint: Your posting is unfortunately unreadable, not only because of the mass of self-created abbreviations used. If you do not document your issue in a understable manner nobody will be able to help you.

This forum is limited to supporting users of the TestDisk package. Sometimes other software like ddrescue and smartmontools are referred to.

I am sure you will find another forum where your questions will be answered. I strongly recommend you using a German one.

German forums are bad and not much users this is known.
It is not a problem of Acronis or Acronis software.
It is a problem of TD showing problems which may not exist or are unimportant !
All abrevations are known.
And you refer to years ago which is not useful !
So dont answer here if you do not have the will or knowledge !
