Hello,
after doing the deeper search, a partition appears that "P" shows the files.
I set this partiton to * (primary active)
I save the partition table, reboot the PC, but I'm back to square one.
The files no longer appear in Testdisk, and the partition shows as RAW in
Disk Management.
I've tried checking the boot sector and Testdisk informs me they're OK and both
the same.
Any idea what is going on? Shall I try an MFT analysis / repair?
Thanks for any info.

In the Advanced menu, you can use TestDisk to copy your files.
Try "chkdsk /f d:" to repair the filesystem
