Just saying thanks

#1 Post by christiang »

Hi. Feel free to delete this topic after reading it, if you want. :)

I just wanted to say thanks for a fabulous tool. I accidentally deleted photos on my NAS right after offloading them from my phone (before the nightly sync backup kicked in). I ripped the drives out of the NAS right away, and started digging. After several days of running PhotoRec and a followup monumental task of filtering out just the ~600 photos I lost from the 70000 candidates (another big thanks to digiKam for being able to sort and search to find only the files that I was actually missing), I was able to restore all photos I had deleted from the last 6 months. My relief is boundless. The tool even uncovered a number of photos for stuff I had lost years back and that I had either forgotten about or thought was unrecoverable. Absolutely fantastic.

I've made donations to you as a small thank you. Hope you have a lovely day!

Hallo Christian G.,
