- Made my own winPe with Windows ADK
- Put testdisk on it (tried all 3 version on the download website)
- I get black screen when i open it when in booted WinPE
Anybode got testdisk running in WinPE? I quite like it because it's small and CLI. I know that there are bootable ISOs with testdisk, but i would like to integrate it into my own bootable repair thingy

Boot different iso files instead. SystemRescueCD and Gparted are the smallest distributions that contain the TestDisk package.

TestDisk can run in WinPE, but a black screen usually means missing dependencies. Make sure your WinPE build includes the C runtime libraries (vcruntime140.dll etc.) and the console subsystem. Also, try running it from the x:\Windows\System32 folder or an extracted folder with full permissions. Some users found that using the 32-bit version in a 64-bit WinPE works better.
