Can't open filesystem. Filesystem seems damaged

Using NTFS and Windows 11. My drive is an external Buffalo In use for years. No problems. I get the above message when I try to fix the MBR. Advanced->Boot or Advanced->List TestDisk output from Boot is:
It is as though data is there, but the instructions to read it are gone.
How do I fix this?
What do you need me to provide?
Thanks.
