Hello folks,
I apoligize in advanced, for i came across a link to this free soft that came highly recomended. I am not a specialist in any of these matters , so please dont shoot me is i ask wrong stuff Feel free to correct me pls !
Question :
Can I , and how if yes, use testdisk/photorec to "unformat" a 10TB RAID0 array of 5 x 2TB, on a linux ArchBang system, formated in ext4. The array was formated unexpectedly. Is there any way i can recover the data usingtestdesk/photorec, without having to provide an other 10TB of diskspace to recover these files. We just dont have an other set of disks available.
I gave both a try already, but i am unsure on the to follow steps.
I can already say that testdisk recognizes each disk individualy, and does see the array also.
Many thax in advanced,
Teejoo
Can i use testdisk/photorec in this case , and how ?

You can use PhotoRec on the array but you will need 10 TB to store the recovered files.
You must not attempt to write the recovered files on the source.
