I was using the tool "HDD Raw Copy Tool" and I selected the wrong disk as target and ended up overwriting 8.4 gb of data, I tried to use testdisk but It did not show me any of my folders, attached are screenshots of what would happen when I used testdisk, now I am tring photorec but it keeps bouncing back and forth between 13 and 15 persecute when it hits 16 occasionally it falls back to 13, it has been runing for at leest 14 hours, is my drive broken some how or isit just something to do with the fact that it is currently working through data from modded mine craft instances.
The only thing that I would really like to get off the disk is one 205 gb vmdk file that is very special to me, should I be hopeful because It was one of the last things written.
accidently used "HDD Raw Copy Tool" and overwrite 8.4gb of data on a drive
