Hi there . i have an Iomega ScreenPlay Hd 1T and the hdd from inside is a 1T Samsung Hd 103Si usb device. The problem is not the data cuz i have recovered all the data with icare, the problem is that i cannot format the hdd. At the moment i use TestDisk ..with the hope to restore the partition and repair it or to do a format after.
I dont know why is like this cuz first i could see 1000 G / 931 G etc. ... I have tried several times to format the partition but with no result .. i/o error ,, other ideeas ? Thank you , wish you all Happy Hollidays and a Happy New Year !

There are bad sectors, it's a hardware problem. Don't try to format the disk but replace it by a new one. Use the warranty if it's still possible.
