I have used TestDisk on a failed drive that has a missing/corrupted partition table. TestDisk discovers the correct partition table, but when I try to write the partition to the disk I get: "Partition: Write error".
My question is... is there a method of discovering the partition table and then using it so that I can access the disk as a read-only source in order to copy files from it? PhotoRec seems to be able to recover files, but it would be great if I could access the original directory structure and files names.
Thank you.

Re: Missing Partition Table, Read-Only File Recovery
After Analyse, Quick Search, when TestDisk list your partitions, select it and press 'p' to list your files.
You can copy them if you want.
