when i plug in my corrupted usb drive, it recognizes it as a "SM324BC Memory Bar" and does not come up as a drive in my computer
when i run photorec, it sits at "Disc Identification, Please wait..."
am i doing something wrong, or is my disc totally fried? how could that have happened?
the disc is 1GB by the way, its not large
thanks for any help you can offer

Re: stuck on disc identification?
The memory card/its controller is physically damaged. Software alone can't help in this case.
