I have been running PhotoRec for almost 48 hours on 560 GB partition. The time running keeps incrementing and the sectors fluctuates between about 6 or 7 different values. In the past 24 hours, the application has not found any new files and currently states it is on Pass 2.
Should I stop the program or let it continue to run? And if so for how long?

Re: Photorec running but no new files
I was running the latest version and did not modify the settings - I used the defaults. After 24 hours of the same screen I quit the recovery process and will resume at a later date.
I am interested in only recovering jpg, gif, bmp, psd, and other picture files only from the HDD. Can I set up the photorec to only look for these types of files and if so, how?
