PhotoRec keeps writing on the same file
Hello good people. Im trying to save some files from a 2 TB HDD. Unfortunately PhotoRec always stops at files and continues to write and write until the file is so large that i run out of HDD space. The very first 2 times it got stuck on a .rar file (always the same file) and the file ended up maxing out my HDD space. Now i'm trying to just scan for .psd files but the same thing happens now but on a .psd file instead. Am i doing something wrong?

Re: PhotoRec keeps writing on the same file
PhotoRec stops the recovery of a file when a new file is found, so if you disable most file formats, you will get very large file and you need to have enough storage space.
Re: PhotoRec keeps writing on the same file
So during the first scans i did, when photorec stopped at the .rara files, i were scanning for all known file formats. Does that men that that .rar file (or sector) is the last retrievable file?
