I have a bad harddisk and i am trying to recover the photos that I have in them.
The partition is shown as RAW in windows.
Testdisk identifies bad ntfs boot sector and when i try to copy the backup BS, it did not work.
I tried to rebuild BS, but testdisk was stuck at "Search mft" for more than 8 hours.
Please help for futher steps.
Thanks.

If it doesn't work, you will have to try PhotoRec

Re: TestDisk stuck at Search mft
Tried photorec.
It was stuck at "Disk Identification. Please wait .." for more than 30 min.
I am connecting my damaged disk via USB.
Is this normal?
thanks
