I managed once to list files, but for some reason I cannot list them again.
testdisk quits, I can see my bash prompt appear, but I can't type anything in the terminal, I have to start a new terminal window.
How do I know what type of boot sector I should choose between classic MBR and GPT ? Does is make a difference ?

Re: testdisk quits when attempting to list files
Boot sector has nothing to do with your partition table type, either GPT or Intel-MBR.
