The wiki shows that .aep files are supported by default in photorec, but it does not appear under "File Opt" within the application.
Is it bundled with another filetype?

edit: just to clarify, fidentify also correctly identifies the file as a ".aep", but there is no .aep in "File Opts." Is this an oversight?

aep is part of the RIFF audio/video file familly. It also includes wav, cdr, avi.
