HFS File Names

#1 Post by OSXNovice » 02 Jul 2012, 03:11

Run 10.4.11 on PowerPC, G4. Overwrote directory on a backup hard drive with a blank "same name" directory. Files recovered with PhotoRec, but file names missing. Ran TestDisk and appears to be the same result. How can filenames be recovered? If the journal file is recovered, can it be used?

Unfortunately TestDisk & PhotoRec can't recover the original HFS/HFS+/HFSX filenames.
