Hi everyone, i am new to this so please be patient,
Is there a way i can recover a HDD back to factory i am not concerned with recovering files or partitions, just a HDD i can use again
i have tried with the Testdisk software and don't seam to be getting any where, Windows sees the HHD in the computer management, under disk management, but has a black border
Testdisk sees the HDD and will try to analyse it but it just comes up with "read error at" then some numbers which i guess are the sectors etc
any help would be appreciated

It looks like your disk has bad sectors. You should replace it by a new one.
