Recently my WD My Book World Edition (white light) stopped working.
After much tinkering and not much sucess i now have it hooked up to my computer with a SATA-USB lead.
I have tried using many recovery tools but not had any luck until coming across testdisk. I have now started to get somewhere for the first time since the problem started.
The trouble i have is the set up i have at home is very limited. I only have a laptop, a 4TB NAS drive and the damaged 1TB drive in question. 
Using PhotoRec i have managed to recover almost all of the original data, but there is over 100,000 files that i dont really fancy renaming.
Hopefully somebody can help me recover the drive so the original file/folder structure is intact.
the offending drive is the 1000GB and the data is on the 4th partition.
