Hello,
Yesterday a 9gig mpg file was deleted from my hard drive accidentally. Automated file recovery software was unable to recover the file so I used photorec and now have thousands of short mpg clips, I assume they are individual partitioned files of the origional mpg. Is there a method to combining the mpgs together? They all play but are only a few seconds long each. The origional video was almost an hour long.
thanks,
chris

Re: Restoring recovered mpg
As long as it's only deleted you can have a try to use TestDisk.
You'll find it at Advanced / Undelete.
Please don't write anything to your disk anymore, otherwise it might be possible that you overwrite your required file.

Re: Restoring recovered mpg
Thank you for the advice, Fiona. Unfortunately TestDisk does not see the file. I may be incorrect but it seems TestDisk only attempts to undelete files that were placed int he recycle bin and the file I am trying to recover was too big (9 gigs). It never shows up in the undelete list.
Any additional advice will be appreciated.
